Guests often like to have a clear idea of the location of the cottage in relation to other visitor attractions and, especially, to the coastline with its coastal walk and beaches. It seemed that a picture was worth much more than 1,000 words, especially in such a wonderful location, and so a camera and tripod were taken to the top of a nearby hill and a large panorama photograph of the Shawbost area, including Dollag's Cottage, were taken.
Currently this page is a "work in progress" but hopefully you will find the photographs interesting and they will help to highlight why Dollag's Cottage is such a wonderful location for a Lewis holiday.

To give the visitor some idea of the location of the cottage and the various attractions in the area the panorama was then marked up with text indicating things you may like to visit, or do, while in the area. This is far from a complete list of things to see and attractions in the area but it points out some of the very obvious landmarks that can be seen in the image.
